It is an anthelmintis drug. the prevention and treatment of parasitic infection caused by tapeworms,pinworms and hookworms.
Albendazole tablet is used for deworming and kill stomach worms. So we know that how to albendazole 400mg tablet uses.

  • Hookworm Infection (Necator or Ancylostoma)

  • Loiasis

  • Microsporidiosis

  • Strongyloidiasis

  • Trichinosis

MODE OF ACTION 


The worm has a protein assembly that destroys the albendazole tablet, which does not increase the number of worms.

CONTRAINDICATION

You should not use this medicine if you are allergic to albendazole, or to similar drugs such as mebendazole.
Tell your doctor if you have ever had:

  • Eye problems (especially a problem with your retina)

  • Liver disease 

  • Bone marrow suppression 

  • Breastfeeding 

  • Pregnancy

Side Effect

  •  Headache, neck stiffness, increased sensitivity to light, confusion;

  • Diarrhea

  • Difficulty in breathing

  •  fever;

  • Nausea, Vomiting, Stomach pain;

  • Abnormal liver function tests;

  • Dizziness, Spinning Sensation; or

  • Temporary hair loss.

DOSES

By the way, the dose are not fixed, it is given according to the condition of the patient. Nevertheless, I tell you for the information,
400mg tablet should be taken 1 tablet a week.

 Note:-Take your doctor's advice before taking any medication.

FOR CHILD DOSES

Syp Zentel(Albendazole Oral Suspension IP) 100mg twice a day to finish half the vial at a time.

Note:-
If the child is less than 20 kg then100mg is to be taken.
If the child is more then 20kg then 200mg is to be taken.
