Generally systolic blood pressure 140 above ter Diastolic blood pressure is above 90, then it is called Hypertension.

What is a normal blood
pressure?
Ther are two types of blood pressure
120/80 Blood pressure is measured in two parameters
- Systolic:- Less then 80
- Diastolic:- Less then 120
If Diastolic higher then 80 to 89 and systolic is higher then 120 to 139 then stage 1 high blood pressure.
Blood pressure can be divided into five distinct categories, namely:

Hypertension II Class: In this case, blood pressure readings range from 140/90 mm Hg or more. Physicians can prescribe medication combinations and lifestyle changes.

What to keep in mind if you
measure blood pressure?
- If you are walking or running from somewhere, then you have to rest for 5 to 10 minutes and then measure.
- Always measure by removing the clothes on your hands.
- You should measure 1 to 2 times to get accurate results.
- When you are checking blood pressure, then you have to take care that you do not drink your liquor or do not drink coffee.This increases blood pressure.

Treatment of hypertension
If the BP are not normal and
the patient even after following the general instruction.
If the patient's blood pressure is systolic 120-140 and distolic 80-100
Tab Aten (Atenolol) 25mg a tablet daily
OR
Tab Losartas 50 (Losartan Potassium) one tablet daily
OR
Tab Nifedipine Sustained Release 20mg 1 tablet daily
If there is still no control
Diuretics should be added like
Tab Repace-H 1 tablet daily.
OR
Take Tab Telista-H (Telmisartan and Hydrochlorothiazide) 1 tablet daily.
Note- Beta blocker tablets use II if patient is asthmatic
If the above treatment does not cause blood pressure control, then refer to further treatment to physician.
